I love trees. I even worked for a tree planting charity once and created an illustrated resource for the Woodland Trust as a student :-) However I’ve never found them easy to draw. Steadily though, with each passing winter I’ve been out drawing from life and below I share the tips which have improved my drawings the most.

As mentioned this month I’ve created Daily Drawing prompts. These are totally optional. You could practice some of the strategies below without participating in the daily drawing challenge. Or you might bear them in mind when drawing from the prompts this month. There is no right or wrong - whatever works for you!
